Frequently asked questions
Where does your restaurant information come from?
Most listings start from the Food Standards Agency's public hygiene data, which gives a business name, address, and rating, and some details come from OpenStreetMap. Restaurants can then claim their listing and add menus, hours, and services. Every listing shows its source and when it was last checked.
Why do some restaurants have no menu or prices?
We don't copy menus from delivery apps and we don't estimate prices. A menu appears once the restaurant has supplied it or we have verified it. Until then, the listing says so.
Can I order through PizzaNearMe?
No. We help you find and compare restaurants, then link to the restaurant's own website or ordering page when we have one.
Do you show adverts?
We show labelled sponsored placements and may show ads from Google. Neither affects our search results, listings, or guides. You can manage your choices using Privacy settings in the footer.
Do you cover Northern Ireland?
Not yet. We hope to add it, but for now our listings cover England, Scotland, and Wales.
Do sponsored listings affect your rankings?
No. Sponsored listings appear in their own labelled slots. Payment is not part of how we order search results or editorial rankings.
Is a hygiene rating the same as a review?
No. A food hygiene rating reflects a local authority inspection of hygiene standards on the day. It says nothing about how the food tastes. Always check the FSA website for the current rating.
Do you store my location?
If you choose "use my location", your browser shares your position, which we round to around 100 metres and keep only in your session for that search. You can clear it at any time, and you can always type a postcode instead.
I run a restaurant. How do I fix my listing?
Create a free account, find your restaurant, and claim it. Once we have verified that you run the business, you can update your details and menu.
